Rules concerning the Cup

  1. The field of play

The matches are going to be held on the plastic grass field of the Sóstói Stadion. The field is app. 40 m wide and app. 60 m long with 5X2 m gates. Under bad/rainy weather the matches take place in a School Gym. The Sport Office, Municipality of Székesfehérvár makes the final decision where the Cup can be carried out.

  1. Part-taking rules

Those junior male football players from the twin towns of Székesfehérvár and from Barnsley (the winner of the Mini WC 2006 in Scwaebisch Gmünd), who was born on/after 01.01.1994 have the right to participate on the “Fehérvár Cup 2007” in Székesfehérvár. In the name of the fair play we recommend and ask to nominate male players, born in 1994-1995.
The Sport Office checks the participation rights with the passport of the players.

  1. The team

Maximum 10 players can be nominated per football teams. On the field each team consists of 7 players and the goalkeeper. The organisers require a list of the players with their signature confirming that they suit the requirements. For the Cup just boys can be nominated. The substitute players can go on and off the field during the matches as often as the coach decides, also during the extra time.

  1. Playing period

The playing period takes 1X15 minutes. The football teams are divided into two groups, each consists of 3 teams. The teams play in a scoring system of matches with semi-finals and finals.

  1. Referees

The Székesfehérvár City Soccer Association provides official referees for the matches.

  1. Sending-off

The referee has the right to order the players for 2 minutes off. The 2nd sending-off takes till the end of the match.

  1. The equipment of the players

The teams can freely choose the style and colour of their uniform. Each team should bring a second set of uniform too. We recommend wearing shin guards. Players should be equipped to play on artificial grass field, so it is allowed to wear only adequate cleats with rubber studs. Under bad weather, the matches are hold in school gym, where the players should have indoor soccer shoes.

  1. Guards

Each team names a guard, who watches the happenings out of the field. The Sport Office can give orders to the guards in order to take care for their own players, substitutes.

  1. Cup committee

To decide questionable cases during the matches, at least a 3-membered committee should be set up, which contains 1-1 delegate from the playing teams and one from the Sport Office and the Székesfehérvár City Soccer Association. The decisions of the committee are unappealable. If the committee ascertains that a team used an uneligible player (e.g. older than the limit of the Cup), the match will be registered as 0-3 and the opponent team gets the 3 points.

  1. First Aid

The Sport Office is responsible to provide Ambulance and a trained first-aider equipped with the necessary tools (stretcher, first aid kit, blankets, etc.)

  1. Insurance

The participating teams are responsible for their own insurances (luggage, health and travel insurance)

  1. Other points

The Székesfehérvár City Soccer Association’s processing rules for football cups is used by the final evaluation of the matches.

According to the point system, teams standing on equal points are ranked by goal difference and, if still even, by the number of goals scored. If the number of the scored goals is also equal, the rank is decided through penalty shootouts. If the penalty shootout concerns more than 2 teams, it is determined by a draw which 2 teams start it.

If the final game is tied at the end of regulation time, it goes into extra time, which consists of one further 8-minute period. If the score is still tied after extra time, penalty shootouts come.

By other ranking matches (semi-finals, match for the 3rd place), penalty shootouts come directly after the regulation time, according to the rules of the Székesfehérvár City Soccer Association.

If the two teams in play would wear the same colour, the first named team in the cup schedule should change its shirt.

The Sport Office provides balls for the Cup.

  1. Gala match

Two junior players per teams are selected to play the friendly match against the adult team, which consists of the team leaders and trainers from each football teams.
