haydock u10's v newton le willows u10's playoff

A great win for haydock beating N-Le-W 4-2.Haydock drew first blood with a bit of a misunderstanding between goal keeper and defender, only for calum to sneak in between the two of them and score the first goal of the game.Haydock pressed time and time again down the flanks putting some lovely balls in to the box, with the presure mounting Haydock struck again with a close range effort by calum again this to make it 2-0. N-Le-W then started to pass the ball around well and apply some presure themselves, with a couple off efforts just over the bar, finally Alex the Haydock keeper was tested for the first time only to make a great save, in which he only managed to palm the ball to one side but with a bit of quick thinking with the N-Le-W players closing in he jumped on to the ball to smother it. Haydock broke down the wing once more with josh as he unleashed a fierce drive all that the N-Le-W goal keeper could do was palm the ball away from goal only for calum to pounce and score the third goal for his hayrick. In the second half both teams started strong, but it was haydock who scored again with a with a wonderful cross in to the box to Phil who had lost his marker to calmly slot the ball in to the back off the net to make it 4-0.N-Le-W went all out to get back in to the game by pushing one of there defenders up the field, they come very close again only for Alex saving smartly to his right, but with the pressure mounting N-Le-W broke through due to a Haydock defensive slip up the N-Le-W player drove the ball home superbly young Alex could do nothing about it. with a string off successive corners N-Le-W were awarded a harsh penalty for had ball, which was scored but only just as Alex went the right way but there was just to much power in the shot that made it 4-2 just a little to late has that was how the game finished. A special mention goes out to the N-Le-W defender no 6 who had a superb game WELL DONE :-) Also well done to all the Haydock players and there supporters you all deserve a big pat on the back and lets look forward to next Saturday. GOOD LUCK LADS
