The battle for top of the league came to a head in this game with Fife leading the way by just 1 point. The game started well with both teams attacking from the off. Both teams made some good attacking move but it was Penlake who broke the deadlock first with a cracking shot that was unstoppable by the Fife goalie Jones. Fife pressed hard for the remainder of the first have but were unable to break down the penlake defence. Half Time Fife 0-1 Penlake. The sencond half started much the same it also saw Kmethy come on to the field of play for Pollock. Some good goal kicks from Jones saw Fife get in behind the penlake defence for Whittiker to slot home the equiliser. Both teams battled hard to take the lead but a penalty to Fife saw Lynsky give Fife the lead. Penlake made some piercing runs but were unable to break Fife's defence.
