Cromwell Ath 5 Eagle 1 (u15s challenge cup)
A near perfect Cromwell performance in dire weather conditions see Cromwell overwhelm Eagle to take the spoils in this first leg cup encounter.

Cromwell know this is only "half time" in this great local derby & expect a tough encounter in the away leg.

Credit must be given to Eagle in the first quarter who were the better team,but a through ball was latched onto with precision by Cromwell striker Ash Terron who despatched a brilliant shot into the Eagle goal to give Cromwell a 1-0 lead against the run of play.

This seemed to bring the Eagle players into dispute & Cromwell continued to profit.

An excellent 2 opportunist goals from Sam Morris who was excellent on the right side of midfield, excellent goalkeeping with few Eagle opportunities, with a ball with a mind of its own in a terrible swirling wind by Ryan Blears with the aid of great tackling by the Cromwell defence. Dan May especially enabled Cromwell to build on what they already had.

Rob Colquitt prolificaly broke away to bag one & another break from Ash Terron made sure of a Cromwell decisive victory against there local neighbours.

Credit to the Cromwell midfield Duo of Messrs Waldron & Beckett whos hard tackling, hard work & neat passing in the engine room are something they can both be proud of.
