Crosby Stuarts 0 -- Burscough 3 (u16`s)

A classic away performance, from Burscough, earned them all three points from an exciting clash at Buckley Hill. The lack of a match official proved problematic, but both teams refereed a half each. After a cautious opening 10 minutes, Burscough took the lead with an audacious chip from Vicky DeCamp. Moments later, the same player lobbed the Crosby keeper from way out, and sent the visitors in 2-0 up at half-time. Despite expecting a Crosby backlash, at the start of the second half, Burscough continued to dominate, with acting captain Ashleigh Bibby prominent, and were rewarded by a third goal - a peach of a header from Becky Birchall. That was the end of the scoring, and Burscough's defence - led by the imperious Hannah Travis - comfortably repelled the sporadic Crosby attacks whilst, up front Amy Bullman gave the Crosby back-four a continual headache with her non-stop running. So, with the aforementioned Bibby voted Burscough's man-of-the-match for the second week running, 'the Greens' maintain their unbeaten run, and look forward to the visit of Goldborne girls next week.
