A classic away performance, from Burscough, earned them all three points from an exciting clash at Buckley Hill. The lack of a match official proved problematic, but both teams refereed a half each. Moments later, the same player lobbed the Crosby keeper from way out, and sent the visitors in 2-0 up at half-time. Despite expecting a Crosby backlash, at the start of the second half, Burscough continued to dominate, with acting captain Ashleigh Bibby prominent, and were rewarded by a third goal - a peach of a header from Becky Birchall. That was the end of the scoring, and Burscough's defence - led by the imperious Hannah Travis - comfortably repelled the sporadic Crosby attacks whilst, up front Amy Bullman gave the Crosby back-four a continual headache with her non-stop running. So, with the aforementioned Bibby voted Burscough's man-of-the-match for the second week running, 'the Greens' maintain their unbeaten run, and look forward to the visit of Goldborne girls next week.
